Ali is an experienced healthcare professional having worked in the NHS for 24 years as a nurse, manager and leader at UCLH NHS FT and The Royal Hospitals NHS Trust. She has successfully managed and led both clinical and non clinical staff. She is an excellent leader and role model with outstanding enthusiasm and commitment who looks for opportunities in every challenge. She is a motivated individual who enjoys working in a pressurized environment and strives to ensure that clinical professionals are central to ensuring that patients have a good quality care experience, and that the organization keeps the business of caring for patients at the centre of its agenda. She has a strong track record in managing and delivering change and successful performance improvement. Ali welcomes the challenge of improving the quality of care for all patients through innovation, and the development of staff at all levels to meet the ever-increasing demands of the NHS by challenging existing practice.

Nicky has 24 years’ experience in the NHS as a registered nurse and has worked at both Deputy Director of Nursing & Director of Nursing level in various organisations. As the Director of Nursing for Emergency Care and Specialist Medicine at the merged South London Healthcare, she led on service rationalization, streamlining the emergency care pathway and patient safety experience. Nicky also has experience as an Executive Nurse Director in a Specialist Foundation Trust where she led the transition from the provision of in-patient services to ambulatory care service on the main Trust site, leading to an in year £1.6 million saving. Nicky has a passion for excellent patient care and excellent leadership at ward level. Nicky is a published nurse researcher as principal investigator published her research examining best practice for the treatment of femoral hematoma post coronary angiography in Heart and Lung in 2008.

Both Ali and Nicky joined Capita’s health care advisory service where they were valued members of the team using their skills and experience both working on and leading successful transformation programs across the UK and Channel Islands, as well as being an instrumental part of Capita’s leadership faculty.

In 2013 Nicky and Ali co-founded Connect Health Advisory Ltd. With their shared vision of supporting organisations to enable their workforce to lead transformational change. They have designed a unique approach to healthcare leadership development providing both 1:1 support of each individuals as well as a team approach they have now delivered their programmes in a number of organisations including community services with great success. They have worked with challenged teams and organisational wide teams and helping to define the core roles within organisations that deliver care at the frontline. Their programmes have been evaluated excellently and are now recommended to others by their clients. They have also supported organisations with workforce planning, with both ward based and clinically based teams.

They have also supported organisations with the flow of their emergency patients. Working with each individual ward and the Trust’s admission unit, they supported the improvement of timely patient discharges and system and processes in the Acute Admission Unit. Their unique approach in working with and supporting ward teams to lead and embed change with great success, seeing a week on week increase in pr-11am discharges. They believe that each organisation have specific and unique needs and as such work to ensure that each programme is bespoke and tailored to the needs of each organisation.
